Kangaroo Care Benefits Early Infants

Did you know babies born earlier than 37 weeks, even by a day or two, still need extra special care? New guidelines have been created for late preterm infants: babies born between 34 and 37 weeks. Nurses at Riverside Methodist Hospital helped shape those new guidelines, which include recommendations like kangaroo care or skin-to-skin contact between mother and child.
